Costa Rica 2012 Mission Trips

Isaiah 6:8

Missions Made Possible is formed a mission team to serve God’s people in Playa de Coco, Costa Rica.
MISSION LEADER: Tim & Pam Beadell
DATES: Depart: Saturday, May, 2012 - Return: Saturday, June, 2012
We went on a spiritual and humanitarian mission with our goal of bringing spiritual materials, medical supplies, clothing, etc to Playa de Coco and the surrounding area of Costa Rica. Working through Hope Fellowship (local church) we will provide Vacation Bible School to several areas.
Missions Made Possible is trying to raise funds for the following projects:

  • Bibles or New Testament books for discipleship (300 - in Spanish)
  • Pastor's Leadership books (in Spanish)
  • Vacation Bible School instructions and materials(in Spanish)
  • Children's Sunday Bible School Curriculum and materials for seven community churches (in Spanish)
  • School supplies
  • Funds for "Seeds of Hope food bags"  60 @ $25 per bag= $1500 (For distribution in Martina Bustos)
  • Funds for children's feeding centers (used to purchase large quantities of rice, beans, oil, etc)
  • Guitars for youth ministry
  • Funds for a refrigerator for Santa Ana Feeding Center  (weekly feeding program for 65 children)
  • Vitamins  for Seniors and children
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste: hygiene items
  • Eye-Glasses (in conjunction with Lion's club in Playa's Del Coco)
  • Plastic cross necklaces for children (500)

Projects

300 Spanish Bibles/New Testament

5 Spanish Pastor's Leadership books

7 sets of Spanish Vacation Bible School (VBS) materials and conducted VBS training.

60 bags of food for Seeds of Hope ministry

Purchased large quantities of rice, beans, oil, etc for 3 children's feeding centers.

100+ Toothbrushes, toothpaste: hygiene items

 

3000 Eye-Glasses (in conjunction with Lion's club in Playa's Del Coco)

500 Plastic cross necklaces for children (500)

Funds for general support for the Church and Orphanage


5  suite cases full of medical supplies

Funds to paint the free medical clinic
